Opening Act

Trevor Drury

I’m deeply inspired by the human condition and because of that I try to write music that reflects our shared emotions and experiences.

Knocked out in the Battle Rounds

Thank you from all of us at Opening Act and the MusiCares Foundation for helping us provide health, financial, and rehabilitation resources to musicians in their time of need.

What do you enjoy most about being a musician?

I love creating songs that I and others find meaningful. Also, being able to travel/play with the likes of Ramin Karimloo in Japan and the UK are experiences central to being a musician. I love that being a musician is about the music fundamentally.

Which musician would you like to collaborate with?

I’m a big fan of James Bay, Tom Odell and 21 pilots to name a small few. I’d love to get in the studio sometime with artists of these caliber and see what kind of artistic journey we could go on.

If you were the next Opening Act, what would you do with $10,000?

Well it would certainly help with financing and expanding my music endeavors that’s for sure! But I think that it’s morally wrong to take all the money for me and so I have some charity in mind (cancer/addiction) I would donate to.
