Knocked out in the Battle Rounds

Thank you from all of us at Opening Act and the MusiCares Foundation for helping us provide health, financial, and rehabilitation resources to musicians in their time of need.

What do you enjoy most about being a musician?

I was told for so long that my hand would make pursuing music impossible for me, but when I am on stage I am confident, powerful and unafraid. Music makes me embrace my biggest fears and turn them into strengths.

Which musician would you like to collaborate with?

It's a long list! But I really admire Daniel Caesar, HER, Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, and PJ Morton and think a collab with any of them would be really incredible.

If you were the next Opening Act, what would you do with $10,000?

I would use a portion of the money to pay the musicians I would be playing the show with, since I strongly believe in paying artists for their hard work. The rest would go towards our next album and studio time!
